Ben Haws

Blue Collar Roots. Industrial Standards. Financial Precision.

Founder and Manager, JBH Heating and Air

Some people get into the trades because it’s a job. For Ben Haws, it’s a legacy.

Generations of Craftsmanship Ben didn't just learn construction; he was born into it. With a grandfather who owned a construction company, a father who was a construction manager, and an uncle who ran a custom carpentry business, Ben was on job sites by the age of 10. He wasn't just watching—he was learning the value of doing things right the first time.

By 2006, Ben had already launched his own venture, JBH Specialty Construction, performing general maintenance and remodeling while still a young man. But he wanted to master the mechanical heart of the home.

From Trade School to Critical Infrastructure After completing HVAC Trade School in 2009, Ben didn't settle for basic residential swaps. He went to the "Big Leagues."

  • University of Dayton (2012): Ben joined the maintenance department, managing complex commercial and industrial HVAC systems where precision was non-negotiable.

  • Water Department (2016): He moved on to run the maintenance division for the water department, maintaining critical infrastructure where failure wasn't an option.

During this time, Ben transitioned his company into JBH Energy Solutions (2014), applying those rigorous industrial standards to residential homes in Dayton.

The "Thinking Man's" HVAC Company In 2020, Ben took JBH Heating & Air full-time, but he added one final piece to the puzzle. In 2021, he graduated from Wright State University with a degree in Finance.

Why does a Finance degree matter for your furnace? Because Ben looks at your home as an asset. He combines the hands-on skill of a 3rd-generation builder with the mind of a financial analyst. He doesn't just "fix parts"—he calculates the Return on Investment (ROI) of your efficiency, performs Manual J Load Calculations, and designs systems that pay you back.

Life Off the Clock When he isn't calculating airflow requirements or crawling through attics, Ben is a dedicated family man. He is a lifelong Dayton native who loves traveling, gardening, and exploring the outdoors with his wife and two children.

JBH isn't just a business; it's a family legacy built on hard work, higher education, and honest service.

The JBH Promise Today, JBH Heating & Air represents the perfect blend of Ben's history: The work ethic of his grandfather, the critical precision of his industrial career, and the financial logic of his education.

When you hire JBH, you aren't getting a salesperson. You are getting a partner who cares about your comfort and your wallet.
